Wonder Woman!/ Cheap, quick, but cute giveaways for the holidays

Well, there was this awesome sale from the comic book club at school and they were just doing it for fundraisers. The prices were completely awesome, and the stuff was too. Sadly, i had only 5 dollars and bought this Wonder Woman box...what's even better is it has vintage post cards inside it, only for $3! Deal or no deal??? DEAL.

Ok, well heres a simple little tutorial to make this insanely simple giveaway.
Materials Needed:
-Ribbon (1 wide and one skinny)
-Mini glass jars (99 cents store, come in packs of 3 :D)
-Hot glue gun
-Candy, candles, etc (anything you want to put in the jar for the giveaways)
Step 1:
Clean the jars out and dry. Take the lid off and set aside.
Step 2:
Get your wide ribbon and cut it however long you want, not too long, make sure the length matches the jar. Probably 3 inches, more or less.
***Making the bow***
Pinch the wide ribbon in the middle, so it creates folds, take a snippet of the skinny ribbon and tie in the pinched area. Make sure your knot is in the back so it hides the "faux bow" look.
Trim anything that is revealing from the front.
Step 3:
Take your hot glue gun and put just a little drop, or more if your bow is too thick, and stick it just below where the little screw part for the lid is. and voila! A simple giveaway. Fill with candies or any other goodies you can fit.
I brought these to a small party for my club in thanksgiving and it was a hit, every kept asking me if they were expensive :O
but, an artist never gives away their secrets. Wait...that a magician...lol oh well.

iPod sock + tutorial

This tutorial will show you how to make this simple iPod sock for pretty much any size with a nice colorful (if you want) band.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

STEP 1:

Trace out your iPod on the fabric you want to use as the main band, but make sure you trace it slightly larger. If you want to make this for something that is a little thicker, trace out about an inch larger, more or less depending how thick the object is. Trace it 2 times, or you could just fold the fabric in half and trace it once, so you can make the casing.

STEP 2:

Sew the wrong sides together except for the top, how else would you put your ipod inside??

STEP 3:

Take the other fabric to create a band. Cut a strip about 2 inches wide, but the length is twice the length of the top of the sock. I dont know if you get me, but yeah. Leave half an inch seam allowance. Fold the fabric in hald hot dog style with the right side showing

STEP 4:

Ok, this parts a liiiitttle confusing, Get the strip you just made, put where the folding is open lined up with the edge of the top part of the sock and sew those edges together. I know it looks weird, but it will come out right, trust me.Once you've sewn all the way around, sew the band together closed. Then flip it upright and there you have it! You can leave it like this or you can install a button of your choice :)

New Earrings :D

----These earrings are bottlecaps, simple, simple. But, the special thing about these are that they are double sided, so in the picture it may seem mismatched, but one side (for both) is a San Miguel bottle cap, and the other is IBC root beer, great root beer from a cupcake place, i love those classic bottles.
++++These earrings (below) are...You guessed it! The all beloved Chuck E. Cheese's coin! It took my dad a little while to drill in the holes. I couldn't do it myself because i don't have enoughstrength and it was too dangerous. So i advise any teen crafters like me to get help from an adult if you have a weird feeling something might hurt you, or might mess something up. But these turned out great didn't they? Simple, but elegant.

Dinos, Anyone?

Just thought I'd share my Dinosaur hat to the world. Or, whoever's reading this. I started selling them at school for $10.00. Why so much you ask?
1) 5 bucks for the materials
2) 5 bucks for time
3) You can sketch out, think out, or even just give the slightest idea, and i will custom make it for you, waaaay cheaper than other custom made hats.

So now do you think it's not a reasonable price? Everyone keeps telling me "oohh but...it's too expensive." "ohh i bet i can make this myself." Well then why don't you!? Stop complaining if you don't want a hat! Geez!

well, i just had to let it out. Sorry.

Captain Planet inspired Planeteer Rings

You don't know this, but Captain Planet is my FAVORITE hero! So, in honor of the environment saving blue guy, i made Planeteer rings that will help summon the awesome power of CP, because the Power is YOURS! Lol, on that note...I made the Heart ring, Wind, and Earth. I have noooo idea why i made the heart ring, he's so incredibly useless.
The way i made these was from that kit above the rings picture. I got it from a gift exchange at my school, so I can't tell you where to exactly find them, I'm pretty sure you can find them at any craft store or maybe Target or Wal-mart...those kinds of stores lol.
With this kit you can make 10 rings, and it's fairly simple. If you have meteocre painting skills like I do (I'm more of a drawing person), then i recommend you just gluing pictures to the ring (what i did with the earth ring). So if you buy this kit or find any other ones, have fun!
PS. If you find another, even better one, then please comment me what and where :D

Some crafts i didnt post!!

(far left) is a Mario hat i made, as you can tell, I'm even matching the outfit. This idea popped up to me whilst picking an outfit for school. The overalls is actually just a top, it used to be a dress but i chopped the skirt off and left the top. It's pretty cool since I'm not a dress person, and trying to bring overalls back. I actually made that hat before i was about to go to bed, but i ended up sleeping at 12! :O so, the lesson here is...if an idea sparks you..just write it down so it doesn't get in the way of your health...unless you're really passionate about it. Ok, so the bracelet next to that, is a Starburst wrapper bracelet. Pretty cool, huh? instead of using a clasp (because I'm poor) i used 3 strands of yellow embroidery floss instead. I like dangly bracelets anyways. I learned how to make this from this website here, so check it out :D
I got lots of complements on it and I'm sure if you try it you would too. It's frustrating because i only bought one regular sized pack of starburst, and for my arm, which is pretty small, required 2 packs! So i had to wait until the next day came along to buy another pack of starburst.
It was pretty funny when i got the next pack because it was during class, i offered everyone the candy, but i kept the wrappers in a neat little pile for the bracelet. My teacher looked pretty creeped out and took a double take when she saw me organizing my wrappers. lol.
Well that's all for this post. Feliz Navidad everyone!
